Hedge maze
While most of us would never endeavor to turn our yard into such an extravagant garden, it’s still fun to look and appreciate the effort, time and odd beauty of the intricate garden mazes that exist around the world. My long-time appreciation of all maze-type structures and gardens inspired researching and posting these photos of hedge mazes, garden designs and labyrinths. There’s something awe-inspiring about garden mazes both looking at them from afar and above as well as momentarily getting lost in them admiring the ingenuity, planning and endless effort in creating such a place. Hedge mazes are an elevated form of the corn fields and hay tunnels I enjoyed. I particularly liked building tunnel systems connecting a network of forts throughout the entire loft. When it came to building elaborate bale forts, I couldn’t get enough of it. a complex network of paths or passages, esp one with high hedges in a garden, designed to puzzle those walking through it. The corn fields weren’t too big so getting lost wasn’t a problem – but they were big enough lose sense of direction and have the feeling of being in a maze. Building hay bale forts in the hay lofts.A farm is a magical place for a kid.Ģ of my favorite activities on a farm were: Our family didn’t have a farm, but I spent many days and weekends with friends who lived on large farms. Return the Dagger Blade Shard to Thelin and that will complete the Plane of Nightmare Hedge quest. Here is a photograph gallery of 48 mind-boggling hedge maze designs, elaborate gardens and labyrinths. Once Thelin reaches the end of the entire maze (which is the central most portion of the maze with the water fountain) you'll fight the a construct of nightmares which upon defeating him will drop a Dagger Blade Shard. He goes around the maze counter clockwise at first but then switches to clockwise after picking up the first one or two pieces of the dagger. The map above is a picture of the entire maze that Thelin walks through. He stops in 7 or 8 different places and each place spawns about 3 or 4 enemies which you'll need to kill. It takes about 15 - 30 minutes to complete and Thelin walks extremely slow. Return the Dagger Blade Shard to Thelin and that will complete the Plane of Nightmare Hedge quest. All you need to do is follow Thelin Poxbourne as he travels through the Plane of Nightmare maze and protect him. Once Thelin reaches the end of the entire maze (which is the central most portion of the maze with the water fountain) you'll fight the a construct of nightmares which upon defeating him will drop a Dagger Blade Shard. A total of 18 characters can enter into this quest at once but you shouldn't need more than a single group to complete it. Hail him and follow his dialogue through.įor the next part of the quest you'll need to complete the PoN Hedge Maze.

He's across the river inside of a little hedge enclosure. After speaking with them zone into Plane of Nightmare and head northeast to Thelin Poxbourne. This will grant you a Character Flag which is all we need from these NPCs. You can find her in one of the buildings that surrounds the zone line to Plane of Nightmare and the Plane of Health. The Hedge even itself is pretty straight forward, to start you need to speak with Adroha Jezith in the Plane of Tranquility. For more information on the Alternative quest follow my previous link. The hedge maze refers to the labyrinth of hedges found at the Overlook Hotel in the 1980 film version of The Shining. In order to gain access to the second half of Plane of Nightmare (Lair of Terris Thule) you'll need to complete either the PoN Hedge event OR you'll need to complete the Alternative Quest to bypass having to complete the PoN Hedge event.
